Kolo Toure feels City are growing more like Arsenal's 'Invincibles' side
Toure was part of the 'Invincibles' side that featured the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira and, while he has yet to win any silverware with City, he feels the quality of players at Eastlands is generating the same kind of approach to the game.
"At that time (2003-04), we had so many great players and a lot of maturity in the team," Toure said. "Every training session was so hard and so difficult and after training when you went for a game it was much easier because you're used to training with top players and training was so difficult.
"Everybody wanted to be in the team and to do that you had to fight for every single ball. What we are getting at City now, there's a lot of fight and a lot of competition for places and that will make a difference.
"It's definitely starting to feel like that. There's a lot of belief in this club and you need to be at your best football to be on the list to play in the games. That makes a big difference."
He added: "When you're at Arsenal, you have no time to rest. Every two days you have really difficult games and I would play a game every day. I don't mind.
"We all need to put our energy in and fight every single game to be on top. To be a champion or to win a title is really difficult and it takes a lot of energy but at the end you're so happy.
"There is plenty of time for days off when you have finished playing."
